Theatre Notes
Welcome to the third play of our 75th Season. Yes, believe it or not it is 75 years since our Amateur Society performed its first play in public. And it is 41 years since performances were held in this little theatre. The Society has come a very long way.
We are proud of our history and the standard of the productions that we have maintained over the years. We feel sure that you will find Marjori’s direction and the cast’s performance of this unusual American play will more than live up to that standard. It is a pleasure to welcome Clive and Craig as newcomers to our stage. We hope you all have a very enjoyable evening and thank you for your continuing support.
75th celebratory events will be taking palce during the season and will be fully publicised nearer the time.
On a personal note I am honoured to take over the Chairmanship of the Society from Martin Jones and extend my and the Society’s graditude for all the hard work that Martin has put in over the last 11 years – a very hard act to follow. We wish Martin an enjoyable rest period!
